| What's this town like?
Confusion sets my heart to flames
I cry, but the tears only dampen the embers
In a world full of satisfaction
I slither across the ocean floor
In a comfort zone complete with an audience
The whalers' murmur
Thunders across the empty sea
With sheer contempt for my soul
I hear this as a whisper behind me
Glancing off of the reef
Into me as if I was an open book
With soggy pages I cast myself to shore
With sand beneath my nails
Heavily salted and full of anguish
My head rests on the shells as I wake
In the middle of the street
Surrounded by stangers
Who know nothing about my ways
I laugh aloud as I drink my coffee
And wonder what it's like
To live in this town
